A horseshoe pit, tether ball pole, and campfire pit are all situated on the banks of the West Fork of the French Broad River. The river offers excellent state hatchery-supported trout fishing. Families enjoy swimming and tubing in the river, and there are plenty of places for picnicking, including in the pavilion just above the river.
